  1. I am so saddened to hear about Irena passing away. I hadn’t spoken to her since we retired almost 3 yrs ago. I know she took great joy in her son Paage and her grandchildren. Her face lit up everytime she spoke of them.

  2. I worked with Irena at the Department of Human Services for many years. As many have said, she was clearly proud of her son and his family. Irena and I spoke together almost every working day and she was always eager to fill me in on what they were doing. She always had an interesting story or two related to her Polish heritage. Many times, she offered to interpret when a case involved a family that only spoke Polish or Russian. Irena was a kind woman and I offer my prayers for her family. May God be with you all.

  3. I worked with Irena for four years as a Child Protective Services worker. she and I had long conversations about our grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren and kept their pictures close by and often would seek prayer for them. She is at rest now and I pray that the family will be comforted by her faith and trust in a loving God.

  4. Irena made an everlasting impression at DHS. I worked with Irena for 5 plus years in CPS. She was known to me as ‘Sweet Pea’. It would make her laugh because she knew it was my way of asking her to do something for me. Irena enjoyed talking about her family especially Paage and her grandchildren. May she rest in peace. My condolences to the family.

  5. Irena was such a pleasure to work with and we missed her when she left. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. My deepest sympathies go out to Irena’s family at this time of sorrow. Treasure the many happy times you shared with her. Irena was very proud of her family, especially her son and his family. Irena smiled from ear to ear when she spoke of her granddaughters. She was also a great shopper and knew where all the good sales were. I have missed her since she retired from DHS but fond memories of her always make me smile. My prayers are with you and yours.

  7. So sorry to hear Irene has left the family. I am Karon, who lived for 23 years up the road from all of you down in Williamson. I remember all the visits Mrs. G. (that is what we called Irene’s mama, and also Jo (sister) made with me. My condolences to all the family.
