Irena Bender November 30, 2023 at age 71 went home to be with her parents, Jozef and Aniela Sperka; husband, Boguslaw Gomulak. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Beata (Joseph) Gomulak-Cavicchio; grandchildren, Davin, Simone and Nadine Gomulak-Cavicchio; brother, Jozef (Janina) Sperka; sisters, Marta (Aleksander) Sowa, Janina (Ryszard) Morawski, Maria (Andrzej) Szastak; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Irena retired from GE in Erie, Pa. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church (Erie,PA) for over 25 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and walking on the beach. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Irena’s visitation will be held Saturday, Decemeber 16, 2023 10:00 AM -11:00 AM where her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church 2220 Reed St. Erie, PA 16503. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery 2601 Norcross Rd. Erie, PA 16510. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Panceratic Cancer Association of Western New York (http://www.pcawny.org/) in her memory.
