Hildegard Kuss Olschewski

Greece:  Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at age 84.  Predeceased by her husband, Erwin Olschewski; son, Carl Olschewski, brother, Reinhold Kuss; sister, Gustel Wendtland; parents-in-laws, Stanislaus (Martha) Olschewski, sister-in-law Frieda Olschewski.

Survived by her devoted children, Angelika Olschewski, Esther (fiance’ Joseph Brunette) Peryea and Michael (Julie) Olschewski; loving grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin, Thomas, Kristin Peryea, Lauren and Rachel Olschewski; brother, Alexander (Anneliese) Kuss; many sisters and loving family in Germany; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Hildegard was a homemaker and enjoyed the company of family & friends.  She involved herself with quilting, crochet/knitting, various crafting projects and liked to tend to her plants.  She also spent much time reading her bible and listening to sermons & hymns.  She was a gentle soul with a beautiful smile.  She is now in the arms of Jesus and will be missed by all.

Hildegard’s private visitation will be held for immediate family only at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road.  Private interment, Falls Cemetery. Please visit meesonfamily.com for livestreaming of services and further information.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greece Assembly of God in her memory.

Livestreaming  will be available to the public Saturday April 11th beginning at 11:15AM.  There will also be livestreaming of her graveside service following her private visitation and will begin approx 12:30 PM.  Please stay tuned for part II of graveside livestreaming commital prayer.

  6. I am sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful woman and I feel blessed to be a part of her family. Hildegard always had the most beautiful smile. Whenever we would get together for family parties you could always look over to her and see that dazzling smile. We will miss her but are celebrating that she is home with Jesus and can be with all her relatives who have gone before her.

    What a granny out of Canada was up 2 with my surfer guys at Sano. She shared her love of choc. But her smile is not forgotten..love u lady..

    There’s no doubt that all of us at the church who knew your mom will miss her! What I loved most about your mom was her ability to come into a crowd of strangers and open her heart to us. I loved her sweet smile that revealed a hidden delight in hearing the teaching about Jesus at the women’s Bible study. She was easy to be with and easy to love. We will see her again in the presence of her Savior. What a wonderful day that will be!

  10. Angela in my womens bible study, of which Hildegard was able to join us years back as we all studied the bible. A very sweet soul I remember, so gentle and kind and a beautiful smile was always offered.

I have so many great memories of her while growing up in the Olschewski cousin family, whether it be at her home or traveling to Canada camp or Florida with the family. She was a great lady with a big heart and even bigger sense of humor. Cousins, we love you all and will keep you all in our prayers 🙏
