Greece: Saturday, November 29, 2008 at age 83. Predeceased by her brother, Louis Muti. Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Roy Lomicka; daughter, Susan (Carl) Burns; sons, Roy Jr. (Barbara) Lomicka, Jeffrey (Cricket) Lomicka; sisters, Matilda Strickland, Rose (Martin) Clark; brother, Santo (Ronnie) Muti; grandchildren, Kristin & Brian Lomicka, Dustin & Andrew Burns; Many nieces and nephews. During the war, Helen worked her first job as an administrative assistant at the Pentagon and her last job before retirement was an administrative assistant at MCC. In her retirement years, Helen enjoyed gardening and was the caretaker of the flowers at St. Charles for years. She enjoyed studying ancient languages and biblical history. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Entombment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Church in her memory

  4. I am saddened to hear of Helen’s passing. She always had a warm smile and friendly word for a faculty member who was passing through the admin building. Both Helen and her family are my thoughts and prayers.

  7. So sorry to have missed the service for Helen. She was always a pleasant face at MCC. Most professional in every circumstance, Helen was one of the many positive forces that keep MCC’s educational miracles happening year after year. My condolences to the family.
