Greece: December 12, 2011 at age 88. Wonderful wife and loving mother. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard C. 'Bud' Coons; daughter, Roberta Phillips; brothers, Tommy, Eddie & Billy O'Grady. She is survived by her loving children, Bernard (Berhe) Coons, Jr., Mary Ellen (Ken) Gauntlett, William (Leslee) Coons, Susan Goodwin, Beth (Phil) Jerzak, Coleen (Jim) Zingaro & Christopher (Sue Ellyn) Coons; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica), Kristina, Elisa (Arthur), Michael, Victoria (Nick), Sara (Sean), Margaret (Adam), Kyle, Katie (Ron), David, Emily (Corey), Alex, Wendy (Matt), Corey (Ashley), Jason, Amanda, Gwynne (James), Jamie, Chris (Lisa) & Ken Jr.; great-grandchildren, Tommy, Bobby, Beyenne, George, Helena, Isabella, Curtis & Emmett; sister, Kathleen Cole; sister-in-law, Jennie Coons; several nieces and nephews; many friends. She will also be missed by her special friend, Ceil Weaver. The family would like to express a sincere thanks the staff and caregivers at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center (Country Unit) and Lifetime Care for their outstanding care and support over the past several years. Friends may call Wednesday, December 14th, 3-8 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 15th, 9:30 A.M. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will follow Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Lifetime Care (LifetimeCare.org) or Lustgarten Foundation (Lustgarten.org) in Helen's memory.

  3. Dear Family You all are in my prayers and will forever stay in my heart.. I cared for Helen for many years and i loved her dearly.. She was like family to me and i will never forget her.. I will never forget time time she was goin to that weddin and she was soo nervus.. But i took her aside n talked with her and made her look sooo pretty… She was soo happy and i no that she will never forget that day.. And just knowin i made her feel like that it made me sooo Happy.. Please take care and no that i loved Helen and all of you… Love alway Jessica Rollinger

  6. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.’ Helen’s beautiful life is not over…her amazing journey is just beginning. Although she will be missed deeply, she reunites with those who have gone before her…she is surrounded by love…she is home.
