Giuseppina “Pina” Calabrese passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022, at the age of 81, she was home surrounded by her loved ones. Born June 10, 1941, in Catanzaro, Italy, she is predeceased by her parents, Anna Severino and Antonio Rocca, sister Maria Rocca and son in law Luigi Curcio. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Mario Calabrese, children Anna Calabrese (Gino Curcio), Nicola Calabrese (Shelley), Antonio (Saveria) Calabrese, and Lisa Calabrese (Peter L’Abbate), 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Pina was a beautiful soul whose strength, perfection with cooking and love for her family will live in our hearts forever.
Pina’s visitation is Thursday, January 5, 2023, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626. Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, at 9:30am, at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Road, Rochester, NY 14626. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Goodbye to a great lady. Our condolences to family and friends left behind. We can all take comfort in knowing that as long as her memory lives in our hearts, she is still with us. Her love and kindness will transcend today’s gloom and allow us to smile again, knowing that she truly touched our lives in so many wonderful ways.

We will miss Pina. She always had a beautiful smile when we visited with her. What a wonderful example of hospitality she always showed to her family, friends and neighbors. We are thankful that Pina is no longer in pain and is now in perfect health.
