Greece: Sunday, November 15, 2009. Predeceased by his brother, Charles Kunz; sister, Lucile Kunz; grandson, Shawn McGivern. Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Elizabeth M. Kunz; son, Thomas G. (Linda) Kunz; daughters, Jerilyn (Mike) McGivern, Elaine (Thomas) Sullivan; grandchildren, Elizabeth McGivern, Marimartha (Michael) Matthews, Kevin (Katherine) McGivern, Ethan (Jennifer) Sullivan, Brett Sullivan, Claire (Paul) Zukauskas, Lia (Matthew) Buckert, Daniel Kunz; great-grandchildren, Sara, Shawn, Rachel, Jack, Colin, Ryan, Robert, Breena, Ava; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Gerald graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University and was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He enjoyed bird watching, woodworking and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call Thursday 4-8 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 9:30 AM at St. Mark’s Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shawn McGivern ’86 Memorial Scholarship Fund in his memory.
