Although I didn’t work with George directly, he always showed interest, always had time for a chat, a laugh, a joke. The bursts of laughter were most of the time from his office. I remember him as a warmhearted person, sad that he passed away too young. I want to express condolences to the Streb family and others that were close to him. Willem

George had a way of throwing his head back when he laughed in a way only he could laugh. (we called it flip-top laugh)and smiling in the morning while making us 3 or 4 different kinds of sausage we would make jokes about if that was enough kinds,to which he would crack up, complete with his own flip top laugh that would make us laugh even more.Im going to miss him,we’re going to miss him,and his laugh.I send my thanks and my love to his family.

Tony & Kelly: I used to work with your Dad and the one thing I remember most is that he could make me laugh. He had a self-deprecating sense of humor. He was completely unpretentious and humble. He’d be the first to admit that he wasn’t perfect. He was totally lovable. He sure loved you guys and was proud of his kids. My sincere condolences to you and your family – I’ll be praying for you all. I’ll always remember George when I go to 7:45 AM mass at St. Lawrence (that was his favorite mass). Sincerely, Frankie Berntson
