GREECE: Monday, May 14, 2007 at age 83. Predeceased by his sister, Palma Nelson; brother, Costanzo Giffi. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mella Giffi; son, Thomas (Mary) Giffi; daughter, Susan (Karl) Salnoske; brother-in-law, Frank Nelson; sister-in-law, Theresa Giffi; grandchildren, Jason (Victoria) Giffi & Justin Giffi; nephews, James (Carol) Giffi & Joseph (Diane) Giffi; niece, Marie (Richard) Richter and several other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank George's doctors and the Visiting Nurse Service's for the loving care given to him.
Friends may call Wednesday (Today) 4-7 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory

Mel and family,
I am so sorry to hear of George’s passing. He was always one of my favorite people — always happy, so friendly and joking around. I know the past several years must have been really hard for him and all of you. I’m glad he died peacefully. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ll always remember George fondly.
