Gary Wayne Clausen September 7, 1941-March 28, 2024 Rochester, NY: Gary passed away peacefully at the age of 82, surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 28th. Predeceased by his father Ralph and mother Ellen (Clements). Survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Clausen (Ballard); his sister Merrily Bedor; his four daughters Christina Clausen, Dannielle Dunton, Gabrielle (Robert) Peckham, and Katherine (Timothy) Young; his two sons, Jeremy Clausen and Trevor (Kayla) Clausen; eight grandchildren, Elizibeth, Damon, Zachary, Nicholas, Justin, Nathaniel, Christopher and Padraic, and four great-grandchildren, Adam, Eli, Reed and Avery. Gary was a 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, finishing his career as a Senior Chief Petty Officer on the U.S.S. Little Rock, which is now part of the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park. He then joined the US Postal Service for an additional 20 years before retiring. Friends may call on Wednesday (April 3rd) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Private interment.
