Leesburg, Fl./Rochester, NY: Saturday, November 16, 2013 at age 67 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Jean Gabrych. Survived by her sons, Charles Cortese and Patrick (Erin Culver) Cortese; stepchildren, Joseph (Emma) Cortese and Michael Cortese; father of her children, Joseph Cortese (Barbara DeCarlis); grandchildren, Giovanni, Lucia, Joseph, Heather, Shannon and Gianna; great-granddaughter, Adriana; brother, Bob (Jean) Gabrych; sister, Joanne (Randy) Malone; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Gail worked for Eastman Kodak Co. for 33 years where she retired. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time on the water. Gail will be deeply missed by her family and dear friends in Florida and Rochester.

When I was a little kid growing up in North Chili, one of our aunts used to bring me into the city for mass on each first Friday. Then we used to visit the Gabrych house and I would play with my cousins Gail and Joanne. I used to always look forward to that. Unfortunately, when we grew older, I didn’t see as much of Gail, but over the years we kept in touch with e-mails and saw each other at various McGurn family events. I will miss her greatly and my sympathies go out to her siblings and sons and grandchildren.
Gail I am going to miss you so much, Miss our talks, all the crazy things we did as kids. You were my best friend and the sister I never had. It is so hard saying good bye. I know you are at peace now, but it going to be hard letting you go……..Love forever Chris
