Francis Smith
November 23, 1925 ~ September 2, 2010
Greece: September 2, 2010 at age 84. Survived by his loving sister, Catherine Grannis of Elmira, NY; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; many dear friends.
Francis is a Veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army. He was also a member of American Legion Post 468 and a retiree of both Xerox and Eastman Kodak.
Friends may call Tuesday, 5-8 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 9:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue. Interment will follow Mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or University of Rochester, Wilmot Cancer Center in his memory.

Uncle Fran: I will always have a special place in my heart for you. You were a special uncle to all of us in Connecticut and we have fond memories of your visits with Grandma and Grandpa. You and mom were close to each other and she loved your visits as did we kids.

Uncle Snoop, I never met you, however, I feal that I have known you for a long time. Your niece Mary Guiliani, is a dear friend of mine and she has shared many stories about you throughout our friendship. From receiving your first speeeding ticket ever and Mary being in the car to the stories of growing up with you around. Mary loved you without question and I know that she will miss you being in her life with your wit and humor and gruffness. You are now in a loving place and I am sure that you are already in charge. Please watch over Mary and I in our lives and lead us on our final journey as you did yours.
