Greece: Thursday, December 13, 2007. He is predeceased by his wife, Florence(Howard)McCarthy. Survived by his sons, James and Stephen(Donna)McCarthy; sis daughter, Eileen Moessle; sister, Mary Pierce and Florence Gilligan; grandchildren, Stephan, Tobias, Christopher, Patricia, Laura Moessle, Melissa, Jeremy Klein, Alyson and Patrick McCarthy; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call Monday 4-7PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00am at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 15 St. Martin's Way. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Mary Assumption Church, 99 Main St. Scottsville, NY 14548 or Holy Name of Jesus Church.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire McCarthy family. We are sorry we were unable to attend the services. We have very fond memories of Uncle Gene and Aunt Florence at their farm in Palmyra. We are sure there is quite a party going on with many of Uncle Gene’s siblings and family members, including our Mom and Dad (Joe and Helen). Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
