  8. I was saddened to learn of Ernie’s passing. When I worked at RGH, seeing Ernie in the morning was a lovely highlight to start my day. He was always smiling. May happy memories wrap your family in comfort during this difficult time.

  9. I was an RN at RGH until 2015. I will never forget Ernie and his smiling face. He could brighten anyone’s day. He would often ask about my kids as he witnessed me work on 5400 through 3 of my pregnancies. He was a kind soul. Thinking of your family!

  10. My condolences Zernik family; I knew Ernie in high school and he was a kind, sweet, genuine guy. No doubt that he was a light in your life, and that you will miss him dearly.

  11. Nadine,
I worked with you in the PACC until 1993.

  15. Nadine,
I did not know you but Ernie worked at Genesee Hospital in the Pediatric unit and took care of my youngest brother after surgery, I will never forget how compassionate he was to my brother who was 18 @ the time.
He also delivered papers to the patients and always came to the hospital with a smile that brightened the patients and staff members.
He was a great human being, I’m so sorry for your loss and may you find comfort in knowing he touched so many hearts in his journey on earth.

  16. Nadine,

    Love,
    Mike and Julie Marra
