Greece: May 6, 2012 at age 85. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard LaCrosse. She is survived by her son, Michael (Marilyn) LaCrosse; daughters, Kathleen LaCrosse Volke, Joy LaCrosse & Julie (Mark) Rinebold; brother-in-law, William (Marcia) LaCrosse; sisters-in-law, Gladys LaCrosse, Mildred O'Halloran & Doris (Donald) DeFraine; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Friends may call Thursday, May 10th, 5-8 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Friday, May 11th , 9:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Smile Train, PO Box 96231, Washington, D.C. 20090-6231 (SmileTrain.org) in her memory.

  1. Aunt Eileen has taught us all well. Yves St. Laurent said, ‘Fashions fade, style is eternal.’ Aunt Eileen was the embodiment of style. I’ll miss her always, and be forever grateful that she was able to help my mother in her final hours.

  5. Grandma, thank you for leaving the legacy of faith and joy for life. I always felt your love and prayers for me, despite the many miles that separated us. I continued to feel that love you had for your own great-granddaughters, whom you never had a chance to meet. I am so thankful for you and for Grandpa, who is with you now celebrating your eternal life! WE all love you and will miss you greatly.   6. My Dear Mom, I will miss her so much. I could not have had a more loving mother. She was my ‘go to’ person for everything. She was smart, funny, abd so wise. She always saw the best in everyone. She always loved and cared for all of her family esp. Dad and Aunt Mary.She gave us her strong faith and and sense of family. I have so many wonderful memories.
