Survived by his sons, David Courtney Jr. (Richard Urwin), Stephen (Zelda) Courtney; daughters, Deborah Courtney (James Martinez), Dawn Courtney; brothers, Donald (Kathy) Courtney, Richard (Margaret) Courtney; sisters, Frances Cordingly, Sandra (Jim) Storrier; grandchildren, Johnathan (Charity), Andrew, Joshua, Jason, Jared, Jacob & Jenna; great-grandchildren, Alex & Dominick; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Thursday 10-11:30 AM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road, where his Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.

  1. David and Family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. My sympathy to the entire family, I am the granddaughter of Harriet Mundt, I remember when you and your family use to come to my grandmothers house on Steko Ave to visit her. Please know that my prayers are with you and your family.

  4. Dear Debbie, Dawn, David ,Stephen and all of your family members: We are so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. I know that all of your have great memories of him.   6. My sympathy to the entire family. I was a friend of Diane’s and ended up being the best man at their wedding. I would visit Dave and Diane and talk especially about Charles House where I had worked for several summers.
