Greece: Tragically on June 30, 2012 at age 18. Predeceased by his grandfathers, John Salva & Sal Uttaro. He is survived by his father, Kevin (Michele) Salva; mother, Sandra Salva; sister, Kacie Salva; grandmothers, Louise Salva & Grace Uttero; great-grandmother, Virginia Bellucci; grandparents, Art (Marlene) Harris & Sandy Vistocco; aunts and uncles, Sally (Jim) Cuvelier, John (Joanne) Salva, Nathan (Karen) Green, Mark Harris, Matt (Aimee) Harris, Michael (Christopher Haupert) Harris; nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Chris was a 2011 graduate of Aquinas Institute and was a student at Southern Vermont College. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends may call Thursday, July 5th, 4-8 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 6th, 9:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 4488 Lake Avenue. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in CJ's memory may be made to Southern Vermont College, Attn: James Beckwith, 982 Mansion Drive, Bennington, VT 05201 in his memory.

    I read of your loss, and would like to offer my condolences. Recently, I lost a member of my family unexpectedly, and I understand the grief and sorrow that you and your family are feeling at this time.Although words cannot fill the emptiness of your loss, I would like to share with you the promise stated at John 5:28,29. ‘ All those in the memorial tombs will hear his (JESUS) voice, and come out to a resurrection of life…’ May I assure you, I am not trying to give or change your religion. The pain of loss is felt, regardless of religion. May you be strengthened and comforted by friends and family through this VERY DIFFICULT time.

  7. I taught Chris at Aquinas in Introduction to Theatre. He hung around my office after that for the 4 years he was there and quite often helped to build sets. Quiet voice, calm personality and always a smile. I remember him fondly. He was a lovely young man. God be with you at this time and may Chris smile down on all of us.

    Feeling a wave of grief on 7/24 and wishing somehow I could take that cross from your shoulders if only for a moment. I know that the world has been profoundly changed for the better by CJs life – While it is darker here, for a time, heaven has been made much brighter. It is no failure to need support, counseling, or even medications to help cope with such a devastating tragedy. Still in our prayers with much love, and hope for healing.
