Monachino, Charles Greece/ Irondequoit West: passed away peacefully on Sunday, 10/29/17 at age 89.  Beloved husband of Alma (Camardo) Monachino, Loving father to Charlene (Bill) Carpitella, and Denise (Gary) Nacca.  Greatest Papa to Dr. Christopher Nacca, Keith Rodak, Jason (Brittany) Nacca, and Lisa (Cullen) Baker.  Caring Niece and Nephew, Drs. Michael & Cheryl DeVito.  Survived by sister, Marie Martella, Sister-in-Law, Mary Monachino, Sister-in-law & Brother-in-Law Dolores and Sal DeSimone.  Special long time piano player with Charlie, Bill Fay and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Pre-Deceased by parents, Charles & Frances Monachino, brothers, Joseph & Frank V. Monachino, sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Falconio) Monachino, and brother-in-law Frank S. Martella.  Charlie is a RGH retiree, a Korean veteran and a long time sax and clarinet musician who entertained at many of our local venues, an avid golfer at Webster CC and Durand Eastman.  He was an avid bowler at Empire Lanes for many years, along with 13 years with the Greece Schools Music Programs, known as “Pops” to all who knew him. Music, laughter, and his smile will stay close in our hearts forever and he will be sadly missed by all.  Many thanks for his loving care at Unity 4400, Latta Rd. W., and Hamilton Manor N.H.  Charles’ visitation will be Saturday, November 4th, 11 AM-12 PM at Vay Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd. following a memorial service in the Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Fr.     It has been a long road for all of you , now he is at peace.
    Charlie was such a fun,loving person. He always lit up a room with his great personality and smile. We had a lot of laughs at RGH with him.
    He will always be remembered for his great love of family, music, and friends

  8. I am so sorry for your loss, It was a long and painful road for you all. I wish I could have made it to the funeral home Saturday. It was a very busy day for me to get away from orders at work. Charlene, you and your family are in my prayers. My deepest sympathy to all.
