Charles L. Macaluso

Charles L. Macaluso passed away at the age of 90 on August 19, 2022. He is predeceased by his wife Joyce, his sister, Ethel and his parents, Julia (Bellini) and Joe Macaluso.

He is survived by his niece Julie (Steve), nephews Steven (Laura) and Michael (Jessica). Many relatives and friends.

Charles put his family before all else. Spending time with them was his favorite things to do. He loved to tell stories of days gone by.

Friends may call Tuesday (August 30th) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road.  His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday (August 31st) 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church.  Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church Home Foundation, 505 Mt. Hope Avenue, Rochester NY 14620 or Rochester Regional Hospice Donations, 330 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607 in his memory.

    Farewell to a wonderful man, a smile on his face for everyone and a smile
    in his heart. How blessed we all were to have his welcome, his joy, his stories and his laughter in our family. In a league of his own, seeing the best in everyone and a profound respect, HE, truly, was one of the best.

    • Sorry for your loss. My mom & I just found out. He was a good man. I always loved playing cards with him & his dad. He was my babysitter with my dad Vincent Messina. Hanging out at the car lot. I wish I would of known.
