Wishing the miles away to be able to hold your hands, give you a hug, cry together, feeling the loss of his presence – all knowing that Uncle Carl is no longer in pain and in a much better place. Celebrate his life and his love with family around, know that I am there in thought and prayer.

I can remember going with my father, Uncle Walter, to your dad’s gas stations, getting the car services, and then heading to the drugstore where he bought Hershey bars to take to the farm. I am reminded of the weekend I spent there and going into the barn to see the cows and having your father initiate me with a spray of cow’s milk and recall one of our family reunions being held on the farm.

These are only a few of the great memories I have.

My deepest condolances to all of you.

    Pat
