Greece: Thursday, June 12, 2014. Predeceased by his son, James B. Wood; Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Wood; his children, Carl Jr. (Nancy) Wood, Twila (Dr. Robert) Walsh; Kevin Wood, Carla (Colin) Maxwell; grandchildren, Dr. Courtney Walsh, Captain Robert Walsh (Dr. Madison Hayward), Andrew Walsh, Douglas Maxwell and Rebecca Maxwell; several special nieces, nephews and dear friends. Carl was a retiree of General Motors, an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family. Special thanks to the staff at Lifetime Care Hospice for the loving care given to Carl. Friends may call Wednesday (June 18th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday (June 19th) 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in his memory.   5. We are all so sorry for the loss, we both loved Uncle Carl so much . Uncle Carl was one of my best uncle that I had , he will be missed by my family. Betty thought the world of Uncle Carl , she really enjoyed making sure to get stuff for you guys to take back home.
