Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Ellen, Bruce, Hank, and the rest of the VanApeldoorn family,
My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. Bernice was special to everyone and she touched everyone who met her. We miss her at St. John’s!
    Thinking of you,
    Kelsey (Social Worker)

  2. Hank and Susan,
I’m so sorry about your mom. She was always so sweet to me and my family.
I hope you are doing alright. I want to come tonight but am scared to go alone. My heart and thoughts are with you.
    I Love You, Karen

  3. I have many good memories of Bernice – I first met her when she joined the instrumentalists playing at St. Stephens Episcopal church. She was a very devoted member of the group..and always enthusiastic about participating. Our ensemble lasted only a couple of years, but I continued to see Bernice regularly whenever I performed at the Meadows. We always had a short but happy conversation – I am so glad I got to know her even a little bit. We were fortunate to have Bernice live such a long and blessed life. Mitzie Collins. – hammered dulcimer player and church musician.

  4. Myself, Stephanie and Ben all wish you peace and comfort at this delicate time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
    We all love you.

  5. I have wonderful memories of Aunt Bernice. She was a wonderful sister to my Dad and they shared many times together especially in their later years at St. John’s. She always had a kind word for you and a smile on her face. She was an amazing woman and will be missed by many. I know she is in heaven with her family now, probably playing in the band. I send my love & condolences to all the family.
    Julie

  6. I want to say here what I was not able to say in front of everyone. Bernie was more than my sister, she was also like a mom. We shared things with each other, things that happened to each of us during our lives. I always enjoyed spending time with her and laughing. She found it funny when I wanted to read a book to her because I don’t even like reading. Bernie, I love you so much and I feel a piece of me is missing. But I also know God wanted you to come home and I thank Him for taking you there. You are forever in my heart. ❤️

  7. So sorry to hear about your mom….she was allways so nice to me an us boys back in the day…I still miss Bob alot…..God Bless you and your family..Terry D

  8. Please accept my heart felt condolences and thoughts of sympathy. My late mother Doris Kubitz Nichols-Bleile had often spoken of her cousin “Henry”.
