  14. Her Journey’s Just Begun

Don’t think of her as gone away-

    Her journey has just begun

    Life holds many facets

    The Earth is only one

Just think of her as resting

From the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days and years

Think how she must be wishing

    That we could know today

How nothing but our sadness can really pass away

And think of her as living

In the hearts of those she touched

For nothing loved is ever lost-

And she was loved so much.

    ~ Ellen Brenneman

  15. I am So sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose someone you love. I wish you and your family the best of luck in the future.

  16. I remember Ashley one family celebration many years ago when she was just a little girl, with large eyes and a special smile. She was wondering ‘who are all these people’! Her Grandma & Grandpa Bates had brought her and Kristina to Aunt Mary and Uncle Gene’s. She was so inquisitive and she was so protective of Kristina, not leaving her side. I pray the memories being shared now will add to those you all have together and somehow enrich you. May the love you shared help you through this time, knowing that the love and joy will stay forever. May the thoughts and prayers of so many give you strength!

    In blessings,
    Marlene Fumia

  17. It has been one month since we said our goodbyes to you. The pain is as real today as it was the day we heard about this tragedy. Little did we know, that angel born on 08-08-88 would have such an impact on our lives. We have quietly stood by hoping that we would be able to have you in our lives. Our love for you never ceased thru the years and never will. We now pray that you will help us get in touch with Kristina so that she will also know that we love both of you.

  18. Kristina,
We are bound by blood, and now we share a broken heart. Please know that we love you, but by circumstances & events we haven’t been able to be with you. I know that Ashley will keep us together until there is a time that we will meet.
    Love you,
    Grandma & Grampa

  24. To Ashley’s family: My deepest condolences to all of you in this time of grief. I will always remember Ashley as the warm and caring young girl I worked with when she was in 4th & 5th grade, and I know how much joy she brought you. I was unable to come to the funeral home on Tuesday, but want you to know you are in my prayers.

  25. To The Family of Ashley Bates –

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Time, Events and circumstances got in the way of truly knowing Ashley through her 19 years of life. Those are things I will regret. However, I knew her as a beautiful and vibrant child. In the kingdowm of God where she now reigns she will remain the beautiful and vibrant Angel that she has become; and this is the way. I will choose to remember her. My prayers and thoughts especially go out to Christinia during the mourning of her sister. May God Be With You.

    Be Free Ashley,

    Tracy Clark

  26. Today is the day so plan to be your best.
You have the chance to pass the ultimate test.
Lift your head up high and open your eyes to see.
Let your mind wander and be what you can be.
Stand up be your all, show your strength and your skill.
You have a mission that only you can fulfill.
With life you get just one, but many times to try
To show all the world, how high you can fly.
Just open up your wings, you know what to do
One little decision and you’ll be like an eagle, too.
