Survived by her husband, Raymond Gendron; son, James (Theresa) Gendron; daughter, Julie (Randy) Smith; grandchildren, Emily and Connor Gendron, Nicole and Shane Smith; brother, Patrick (Catherine) Connaughton; sisters, Margaret Menihan of Ardmore, OK, Elizabeth Connaughton and Rosemary Oesterly; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many friends. Ann is predeceased by her sister, Helen Courtemanche. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday 9:3-0A.M. at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mount Read Blvd. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Eastern New York/Finger Lakes Chapter, 4053 Maple Road, Suite 110, Amherst, NY 14226 or the Arthritis Foundation, 2423 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618 in her memory.

  1. Dear ray and family, I was saddened to learn of Ann’s death. My prayers and sympathy to you and your family
    It is a long way back to MOS. I have been living in Port Charlotte sin e l980 after I retired. Mary died in 1996 , after many happy years here. I still get up to Raquette Lake in the summer. My son, Mike and family live on Heritage Drive.

    I was so sorry to hear of your mom (& wife’s) death in the paper today. I have fond memories of her from such a long time ago! She was always so nice to me during our MOS days and I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    We arrived in Singapore on Monday am only to learn of Ann’s death on Sunday. We send our prayers and sympathy to you and the grandchildren. We know Ann is at rest with her God in heaven. Since Ann and I shared the same birthday, we had a special connection. Sorry we are not able to be with you in your time of sorrow…may you find peace in happy memories of Anne. In sympathy.     You are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. Although we didn’t know Ann personally, Julie is a testament to what a sweet, loving person I know she must have been. We pray for peace for your family.
