Greece: Saturday, September 29, 2007. Predeceased by her husband, Merrill E. 'Smiley' Richens. She is survived by her daughters, Carol A. (Richens) Platt & Rosemary J. Richens; sister, Geraldine Anderson; granddaughter, Loretta (Michael) (Platt) Smith; many nieces and nephews. Alverus was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society of Holy Name of Jesus Church. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Friday 9:30 A.M. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 15 Saint Martin's Way. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jewish Home Foundation, 2021 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York 14618 in her memory.
