Greece: Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Donald Schreiber; brother, Robert Jund; adopted daughter, Cheryl; cousins, Elaine Parrotte, June Smith & Kenneth Kreamer. Alvera was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post # 468, a member of the VFW Auxillary Post # 4658 and a member of the swingers at Post #468. Family and Friends may call Friday 4-8 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday 11:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in her memory.
Don, May it comfort you to know that many others,too,understand the loss you bear and sympathize with you.
It is with deep regrets that I read this notice. We had planned to stop by for the holidays. I will sorely miss Vera, who was a wonderful friend to us. Don, you will be in our prayers.
To Alvera’s Husband and Family – my deepest sympathy. So lovely a Lady was she. At our American Legion Post – she was always so cheerful. She will notr be forgotten. Love and Regards, Dan
