Rochester: Quietly on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at age 89. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Millie; son, Dean (Leslie) and daughter, Gail (James) Clune; grandchildren, Dawn Sheridan and Michael Vermeulen; sister, Jozina Leenhouts and brother, Ernest (Thelma) Vermeulen; also by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 7 brothers and 5 sisters. Friends may call FRIDAY, 2-4 & 7-9 at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home. Albert’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on SATURDAY, 10AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

I have many fond memories of time spent at the Vermuelen house and that sly little knowing smile Mr. Vermuelen always had. I wish I had heard the sad news in time to come to the funeral mass, but please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Eileen
