GREECE: Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Predeceased by his daughter, Jessica Colangelo; his twin sister, Catherine Bianchi; his brother, Anthony Filardo and sister, Dorothy Mendola. Survived by his wife, Carmella(Brienzi)Filardo; his daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Richard Smith; his son-in-law, Stephen Colangelo; 4 grandchildren, Richard(Amanda)Smith, Carrielynn(Benny)Siciliano, Maria Scalisi and Kristin(Bradley)Thomas; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was a Veteran of WWII and he was a retiree of the Ohio Chemical and Medical Company.
The family wants to thank Latta Road Nursing Home(A) and Juan for the special care given to Al.
Friends may call Thursday 4-7 at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:00AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends wishing may make contributions to Passion for Life Gala, Wilmot Cancer Center, PO Box 16204, Rochester, NY 14616.
