Albert Bernardo

Greece/Florida: Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Predeceased by his devoted wife, Mary 'Meem' Bernardo. Survived by his loving children, Gary (Kathleen) Bernardo, Michael Bernardo, Melinda (James) Marchione; brother-in-law, Gurney Weaver and sister-in-law, Barbara (Bernard) McCue; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several caring nieces and nephews to dear 'Uncle Alver'. Al was born and raised in Elkland, PA. For all of his life Al was the consummate joke teller, thus bringing smiles to many faces and laughter to many hearts. Friends may call Sunday 12-1 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Memorial Service will be held following calling at 1 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to bring any photos or stories you have of Albert that you may want to share. Interment held privately in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Ft. Meyers, FL 33908 in his memory.
