Burial Vault

What is a Burial Vault?

A burial vault is a lined and sealed outer receptacle that houses the casket. It protects the casket from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment that will pass over the grave. It also helps resist water and preserves the beauty of the cemetery or memorial park by preventing the ground from settling.

Although not required by law, burial vaults or grave liners are required by most cemeteries in our area.

Grave Liners

Grave liners are the most economical outer burial container and meet the minimum requirement for most cemeteries. They are typically unlined, unsealed and have holes in the bottom for drainage. Grave liners are constructed of concrete and are made to support the weight of the earth, but do not offer any protection from the elements.

Personalization

Personalization allows reflection on a detail, idea or characteristic that captures a cherished memory and celebrates a loved one’s spirit. Families can choose from several stock images or create a truly custom design for the cover of the vault.
