Maria’s life was a journey shaped by her love for family, her strong faith, and her deep desire to help others. Born in Germany as one of five children, she began her adult life working as a seamstress while marrying young and raising a family. Her path took a significant turn when she moved to the United States with her family, where she found work at the French’s Mustard. This job marked the start of a new chapter in her life, and she eventually transitioned to working at Kodak, where she dedicated many years before retiring.

Her commitment to family and faith was clear to everyone who knew her. Maria’s hobbies reflected her vibrant personality. She enjoyed playing euchre and the organ, two activities that brought her joy and connected her with others. She also had a passion for traveling, gardening and cooking,  especially German food, which she loved preparing and sharing with family and friends. Additionally, Maria enjoyed attending local Oktoberfest festivals, where she could celebrate her heritage and connect with others who shared her love for German culture.

Maria’s life was a testament to her resilience, kindness, and devotion to those around her.

Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday (Dec 19th) 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Church. 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. Maria’s family invites you to continue her celebration of life on December 19th at Bill Gray’s from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (1177 North Greece Rd., Rochester, NY 14626).
