My heart was broken this morning when I read of Paul’s passing. We became good friends while attending Lifetime Care Grief Counseling in Greece in 2008-2009 following the passing of our wives, his beloved Barbara and my Patricia. We each opened our homes to the grief group for meetings and refreshments. He was so proud of Barbara and her paintings, that he presented me with a beautifully framed painting titled, “Sunflowers and Lemons”, one of her larger works of art. I have treasured it ever since and see and admire it every day. There was a strong connection between the painting and my trademark sunflowers of my Long Pond Road farm. A lovely handwritten note on the back concludes with the words, “Friendship Always”, Paul and Barbara, dated 10/10/09. Rest easy dear friend. A kind and gentle man forever in my heart. Someday when we meet up yonder, we’ll strole over heaven with Barb and Pat, hand in hand.

    Cindy,
You are one of the best friends in my life because I have gone through the same struggle of losing a family member that we loved so much. Your continual caring for your Dad is what makes us truly understand what a family bond is and the love it brings to us all. May your Dad rest in peace, he earned his keep.

Cin, I’m so sorry. You and i know what it’s like to have been given Angels to love and cherish us. I did as you did and I left my family for a time to move in with my parents when my Dad got sick! I would not change one single day. Know sweet girl how blessed we both were! Never forget how much he loved you! No matter what they both live in our hearts as do our mothers. He’s at peace now Cin. Looking down at you with your Mom. Being proud and blessed because he and your mom were “blessed” to have you as their daughter.
