Dennis Dean Eldredge, born April 10, 1951, known to many as “Denny,” and most proudly as “Dad,” and “Boppa,” passed away on October 22, 2024.

Dennis was a former plant manager for Vermont Structural Slate of Fair Haven, VT.  A collector of Hess Trucks since 1976, plant enthusiast, enjoyer of deep political conversations, blown glass, and explorer of the nuances of industrial designs, he had a passion for creativity.  Dennis was most proud of his role as a devoted husband, father, and “Boppa” to his adoring granddaughter and Baby B.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Jo Monahan Eldredge of Greece, NY, oldest daughter Erin Eldredge Dunn and granddaughter Evelyn Josephine Dunn of Central Square, NY, youngest daughter Kate Delaney Eldredge, son-in-law Andrew Baranauskas, and Baby B, due in February 2025, of Greece, NY.  He is survived by his sisters Donna Hodge of Canajoharie, NY, and Alice and husband Jim Crosier of Fort Plain, NY; brothers Harold and wife Diane Eldredge of Rotterdam, NY, Leslie and wife Kathy Eldredge of Colorado Springs, CO.  In addition, brothers and sisters in law, Sandra Eldredge (wife of brother Richard Eldredge – predeceased) of Ilion, NY, Kathy and Tony Kasprowicz of East Springfield, NY, Chris and Cecilia Monahan of Cherry Valley, NY, Jim and Kay Monahan of The Villages, FL, Eileen and Jim Craft of Naples, FL, David and Sue Monahan of East Springfield, NY, a very special Uncle James Winnie of Neh, OH. Loved by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Predeceased by his loving parents Henry “Harvey” and Laura Eldredge of Canajoharie, NY, in-laws Daniel and Elizabeth “Betty” Monahan of East Springfield, NY, and niece Christy Eldredge of Canajoharie, NY.

“Boppa’s” kind heart and playful personality will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Per Dennis’ wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life held the spring of 2025.  In lieu of flowers, please feel free to contribute to the Rochester Heart Walk & Run, or ActBlue.
