Rochester, NY: Francis J. Trabold, Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at age 94.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank. He was surrounded by family and the love that he so generously gave throughout his life.

Survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Victoria Gessner Trabold; his children, Timothy (Barbara) Trabold, Daniel (Sandra) Trabold, Susan (Robert) DeRoo; his 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and sister Bonnie (Joseph) Merkel.

Predeceased by his parents Walter & Henrietta (McGee) Trabold, daughter Patricia Trabold-DePinto, son-in-law James DePinto; sisters Sr. Mary Agnes Trabold, SSJ, Eileen (Frederick) Trabert; brothers Walter (Margaret) Trabold, Eugene Trabold.

He lived a life filled with kindness, dedication, humor and service. He proudly served his country in the Korean War. After his military service, he began a 37-year career at Eastman Kodak. Upon his retirement, Frank enjoyed volunteering at Paddy Hill School in his daughter’s kindergarten classroom, where he made a positive impact on countless young lives.

Family was at the heart of everything he did. His greatest happiness came from spending time with them, playing games, telling stories and jokes, and creating memories they will cherish. His sense of humor made every family gathering special and his presence brought laughter and light to all who knew him. Frank had a love for the outdoors, especially spending time at Honeoye Lake. He had a sweet tooth for M&Ms and looked forward to his daily afternoon “drinky time,” a lighthearted tradition that showed his fun-loving spirit.

Though he is no longer with us, Frank’s legacy of kindness, faith, love and laughter will endure. His memory will be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed but will forever live in our hearts.

Private Mass held. Private interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 3003 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14616 in his memory.
