John “Jack” Kramer
West Henrietta: passed away peacefully and has gone home to the Lord on April 28, 2024 at the age of 92 years. Jack was born in Rochester on Jan. 18 1932 to Louetta and Edward Kramer. He worked for Stecker-Truang Litographic Co. and Monroe Community College as a cost accountant.
Jack volunteered for many years for the AARP tax service processing taxes for many seniors. His calm, gentle and reassuring voice helped many as he prepared their taxes.
He drove Henrietta seniors to medical appointments in his little green electric car which must have been a treat for them. He attended St. Ann’s Church for many years where he also counted the money.
Jack enjoyed car touring and showing others nearby unique local places and restaurants in New York’s southern tier especially the FingerLakes, Letchworth Park and Maple Tree Inn for pancakes. He loved to travel by AMTRAK and VIA trains crossing the U.S. and Canada many times. Jack also square danced for many years enjoying the many friends he met dancing and the activities of the clubs.
Jack was a gentleman, kind, wise, generous with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed.
He leaves behind his sweetheart and companion, Ann Oberrecht; adopted Uncle of the Families of Barry and Oberrecht-Tyler and many cousins and friends in the Rochester area. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday (May 22nd) 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Avenue. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm in his memory.

Many thanks for all the great times my family had with your family and yourself long ago – a special thanks for all those rides together in the area south of Rochester – beautiful scenery and wonderful companionship! May you rest in the peace of our Risen Lord.

Jack, you will be missed. I have enjoyed so many fun lunches with you and our little group over these many years. We always tried to solve the world’s problems or whatever else was going on in the world. I’ll miss your sense of humor and what a gentleman you were. My sincerest condolences to your family, many friends, and to Ann who I know will miss you terribly. I hope you are enjoying this latest adventure up in heaven. Rest in gentle peace Jack.

Truly, you were the quiet, confident, consummate gentleman. I am proud to have worked with you in counting collections at our beautiful St. Anne Church. I always enjoyed seeing you at Masses with your gentle smile and valued our friendship. Thank you for your military service in Korea. Rest in peace my friend, you earned it. Best. Bob Craig

So sorry to just hear of Jack’s passing. He was always such a gentleman and helpful. My heartfelt condolences to family and especially to Ann. May memories of all the fun times you enjoyed together be a comfort to her.
