I worked at Flower City Print for 12 years. I met Wayne at the Lee Road facility. This before he retired. He always treated his employees with respect. He took a start up printing Company into a very national known shop. He will be missed.
Wayne was a class act and a wonderful gentleman. It was my sincere pleasure to have known him.
I knew Wayne from the 60s and 70s when he and Pat completed in local and national car rallying. He was an excellent competitor and consistently finished in the top ten. He also completed, as a navigator, on several high-speed pro rallies, including the grueling "Press on Regardless" national rally held on Michigan’s northern logging roads. He was always a good sport and a gentleman. My condolences to his family for your loss.
Wayne and Karl were my teammates on the Flower City hockey team in the Men’s Sunday morning league at Lakeshore Rinks many years ago. He was a generous sponsor who shelled out for new jerseys and once bought the entire team personalized jackets with our name and jersey number. I still wear mine at Amerk games. He was a true gentleman and solid defense partner. Thanks Wayne!
God Bless our Aquinas Brother.
Wayne was one of the nicest, kindest true gentlemen ever. He and Pat were rally friends for decades and then became travel buddies when we all moved to Arizona. I miss the stories, the concerts, the discussions of current affairs – and obscure old coins. Rest in Peace Wayne
