Jeremy L. Carter Greece: Saturday, October 2nd, 2021. Predeceased by his parents, Howard and Carol Carter; sister, Noel Carter. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bonnie Carter; children, Jason Carter and Jill (Carlos) Alvarado; grandchildren, Kirsten and Matthew Alvarado; brother, James (Betty) Carter; brother-in-law, Henry (Patricia) Bencus; several nieces and nephews and many dear and life-long friends. Jeremy was a Vietnam-Era Navy Veteran who retired from Kodak after 31 years of employment. He was an avid guitar player, Treasurer of the Rochester Guitar Club, performed at several GPAS garden tours and enjoyed hosting Open Mic nights at local establishments. He was always willing to help any family member, neighbor, or friend with projects that they had, repairs they needed or equipment that he could lend. He loved spending time with his grandbabies and if any toy was ever broken, the first words spoken were, “Don’t worry, Grandpa can fix it.” He took great pride in their home gardens and would often be found making new creations to display. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa. Friends may call Sunday (Oct 10th) 1-5 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road, following calling at 5:00 PM there will be a Navy Ceremony and closing prayer. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeremy’s memory can be made to Greece Performing Arts Society or the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm.

To Bonnie, Jason, Jill, and extended family - Please accept my condolences. I’ve gotten to know Jerry over the past ten years or so at the Rochester Guitar Club meetings, concerts, planning sessions, and activities. He always had a song to play and usually a story behind his picking (pun intended) each one. We will miss his physical presence but will always remember the brightness of his spirit, his sense of humor, and his music.

Dear Bonnie and family, We are incredibly saddened by Jerry’s passing. He brightened the room with his smile and his music. I can still hear his "Howdy" whenever we came over to visit. He will be so missed. May the wonderful memories you have comfort you in the days ahead.
