Beatrice Marie Schantz (Schwab) Greece: November 9, 2020 at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband, Richard J Schantz and her son, Kevin Schantz, brother Donald Schwab. She is survived by her son, Richard (Karen) Schantz; Daughter Robin (Robert) Andrews; grandchildren, Alysia Schantz, Kristen Schantz, Christina Andrews & Bobby Andrews; many nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friends. Beatrice was a graduate of RIT. She is a retiree of The American Red Cross. Beatrice was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church for over 50 year of service, where she served on multiple committees. She was a member of Friends of Rochester Presbyterian Home, Ambassador for the North West YMCA. Beatrice loved being the Queen Bee of her family. Spending hours with her children and grandchildren during family vacations and holidays. Due to Covid-19 there will be no public services at this time. We hope to have a memorial service next year should conditions permit such. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Schwab-Schantz Educational Fund, C/O Bethany Presbyterian Church in her memory. Please sign the online guest book.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many great memories of spending time with Aunt Bea. From Christmas Eve’s at her house from when I was little to the countless family reunions on Lake Meadow Drive, picnics, weddings, baby showers. Every time she shopped at my store, she always stopped to talk to me for a few minutes and I am so grateful for that time. She will be greatly missed. Sending lots of love, hugs, and prayers to the whole family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was always in awe of how busy aunt Bea kept herself with so many committees, fundraisers, and helping others. She is such a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.

11/11/2020 Ricky, Robin, Karen, Alysia, Kristi, Christina, and Bobby, Robert, I met your mom when I was 15. She was always there for me. We talked about everything. We laughed cried belly laughed many many times. I am sorry for your loss and mine. My prayers love and condolences are "flying to your heart". Love, Aunt Eva
To the greatest Aunt a nephew can have. You were truly an inspiration and always uplifted my spirits when visited. I can’t thank you enough for all that you have done. Rest in peace, you will be forever missed.
I am very sorry Bea has left us. I miss her smile and spark when I would see to her daily, at the YMCA. She always made me laugh with her hysterical jokes at Ambassador meetings! She thought of others before herself and always volunteered with vigor. She did what she could for our community and organization, whether it was personal donations, food cabinet donations, volunteering her time at special events, taking meeting minutes and making calls. Bea had an impact on how I personally view volunteerism and she left a profound mark on our Northwest Y Community.
Robin and Dick. I will always miss her. Each year we would have lunch in Rochester when Dan came up from Tennessee. We called her Sister while my sister Gail and Sister were just like sisters. One of Sister’s boyfriends ended up my sister Gail’s husband, Pete Smith who just died this last year. We had a great time with your Grandparents Burnice and Kurt at Canisius Lake. Your Dad taught me how to fish there, I caught a 14" Walleye Pike and thought I caught my line in the motor. This is a big shift in my family. Dan, Jane, Lance, and I are the last of the Gleason.

Our sincere sympathy to all of Bea’s family. She was always an inspiration in how we should give back to our community and church. Her friendship inspired us to see the lighter side of life while fulfilling our commitments in good times and bad. She had a wonderful balance to her life. To Bea’s Children, Your mom was a wonderful friend. I knew her from our Monday and Wednesday 8:00 am Y Class. She always had a religious joke to tell the group. She was very kind to me when my sister passed away in January, 2020. I will miss seeing her in the front row of our class. She always spoke warmly of her children and grandchildren. She is with Dick now and your brother Kevin.
I will miss your quick wit and your euchre acumen. There will never be a better partner.
Euchre, Jokers and Pegs will not be the same without you. You were a great neighbor and friend. I will miss you.

A dear friend for many years who will be greatly missed.
Bea was a wonderful friend and co-worker at Rochester Drapery where she did a great job keeping my appointments schedule. We remained good friends after we both retired. I will miss meeting her for our many lunch dates at Red Fedele’s.
Robin, Rick and Family, Bea was an inspiration to anyone who aspired to be an excellent volunteer. Not only will her jokes be missed but she always passed out a chocolate candy when we from Bethany met for lunch. The years my husband, Jim, spent with your dad on the fishing charter boat were the best of his life so now they’re in Heaven together, having lots of laughs. Every time the guys went out fishing, I would hope that there’d be a piece of pie left for me, since Bea made such wonderful pastry. She was a generous & loving friend, and I’ll miss her, along with her many Bethany friends. She was the heart of our church! With love and prayers, Beth Thomsen

To Bea’s Family – As a staff member at the Presbyterian Home, I often had the chance & fun to work with Bea as she volunteered for so many years. She always wore a smile & had a great sense of humor. Her dedication to RPH was impressive! She will be remembered for the love she shared. May God bless you all as you remember the many special times you shared together.
So very sorry to hear of Bea’s passing. I knew her for many years as a wonderful member of Northwest YMCA. She was always giving in her very unique way. I have several Christmas Stockings she blessed me with full of candy as I worked the Member Service desk. I looked forward to them every year as did the children. Dear Rick, Robin, and family, We’re so sorry for your loss. A tru friend for over 50 years. We were just children when we met and have grown up together. There is so much history keeping track of our growing families. She was a proud mom and grandmother She live her life as a good Christian always willing to help others and especially to pick up their spirits with a good joke. She will truly be missed by both Bill and I.
