Edward Herko

Herko, Edward New Port Richey, Fl. November 14, 2016 at age 89. Predeceased by his wife, Betsy Herko. Survived by his loving children, Linda (Ralph) Oliver, Diane ( Andrew) Knauf & Douglas Herko; grandchildren, Alex & Ben Knauf, Lindsay & Lauren Herko. Edward was a proud veteran of the United States Army. An engineering graduate from Iowa State University, where he also played College Football. Edward spent his entire career at Bausch and Lomb; where he was the Glass Plant manager. He moved to Florida after his retirement where he loved to go bowling. He was intelligent, athletic and strong yet he was a sweet man. He never complained about anything; instead he was concerned about the well-being of others. He was a great friend and playmate to his four grandchildren who will always remember his sense of humor. He was loved by everyone he met and will be missed. Private services and interment were held at Trinity Memorial Garden in Trinity Florida. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Iowa State University Foundation 2505 University Blvd Ames, IA 50010 in his memory.
