Dear Linda, Cindy Danny and your families,
We are so sorry to hear about your Dad. What an amazing person he was who left such a legacy of volunteerism, community service, friendship and a wonderful family. I have so many memories of being with you all when we were growing up as Barnard brats. In particular going to your Dad’s shop to buy shoes. it was an annual trip and your father was so patient with all of us and so kind to our family with 5 kids. Our dad will miss him greatly as you well know. Our prayers are with you all. See you soon.

    Dear Veltri family,
The sudden and unexpected passing of Carl Veltri has shocked the entire fire service community. Just one week before he passed he took part in our town wide firefighter memorial service in Greece by preparing and delivering the eulogy. I am so thankful that I made 5 photos of him that day, perhaps the last taken of him.
As a volunteer FF for 56 years at North Greece, I have known Carl even longer. My parents took us kids to his Dewey Avenue shoe store in the mid-1940’s for our shoes. They had an x-ray machine that you stood on that showed your wiggling toes in your new shoes to determine proper fit. Carl used to laugh when I’d remind him of those fond memories. When my wife passed away he was first to call. That was Carl Veltri.
His FD and related agency service and legacy throughout the county and state will be remembered forever. He will be missed sitting mornings at the Greece Ridge Mall, and at the many fire agency meetings that he faithfully attended. Rest easy old friend.

There are some individuals in this life that are consistent , reliable , respectful, and appreciative every time you are with them…….Carl is one of the few I truthfully say fits that description. I will miss him…

    Dear Linda, Cindy and family,
We were so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I always admired him, enjoyed our conversations at Spiritus and holding his strong hand during the Our Father. He was a soft spoken, kind and gentle spirit. I never saw two more devoted, doting daughters than the two of you and it give me great joy to witness that.
    Blessings, comfort and peace.
