I was saddened to read about Mrs. Selmyer’s passing. She was one of the main reasons that I became a nurse…she was my school nurse at Brookside Elementary School and I also knew her as one of my mother’s dear friends. RIP and God’s blessings Mrs. S.

Jack I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. I certainly remember her back in the day when stopping by your house was a frequent enjoyment.

My years in high school were some of the best due to the friendship that I had with a caring, loving nurse that I called Flo. I never forgot her and was fortunate to meet her son Dave later in life and realize that his MOM was one of my long-time friends. I enjoyed all of our time together over the last 50 years. Wow what a life. Thank you Flo.
I was new to Rochester and a teacher at West Ridge School. I met Flo and my husband and I became friends with both Flo and Jack. They welcomed us to their home and we spent many enjoyable times with them. We later left the area but whenever we speak of our first friendships and people who inspired us in our married life she and her Jack come to mind. May she rest in peace and reap the rewards she so deserves in the hereafter.
So sorry to hear of the passing of Florence- she was quite a lady! Remembering many good times, both as boaters and a Riverside Cottagers.
Also remembering all the family members- I know she will be missed.
