Peown, Robert W. Rochester: Sunday, June 5, 2016 at age 83. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Eleanor M. Peown; his children, Robert (Michele) Peown, Susan (James) Kettell, Steven (Yolanta) Peown, Kristine (Brett) Lerner; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many dear friends. Robert was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was the proud owner of Shorehill Pools for many years. No prior calling. His Funeral Service and Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery were held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his memory. Dear Rob and Family,
I pass on condolences to you and the family in reading the news of Dad’s passing. Having lived with the images of my Father as he aged, I was always challenged to remember him in his glory days. I always remembered you Dad as a symbol of summer. He looked the part. Heck, he looked more like summer than the Beach Boys did! He always will be remembered for his quality workmanship, doing things right. He truly made people’s lives better. He took care of his family to the best of his ability. I remember how much he loved being at Memas on Newco Dr. My memory of him will be of a solid man, respected in the business community. A life well lived. You will remain in my thoughts.
