Platner, Robert C. ‘Bob’ Greece: Thursday, December 17, 2015 at age 81. Survived by his loving wife, Sandra; children, Robert R. (Margaret) Platner, William Platner, Linda (Jeff) Perrin, Paul (Sue) Holmes & Niki Holmes; several grandchildren, great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins; loving family and dear friends. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served our Country in the Korean War. He was a past North Greece volunteer Firefighter and retired from Barnard Fire Dept., a life service member and trustee at Barnard Exempts and a member of the American Legion Post #468. Bob was well loved and respected by many and will be dearly missed. Bob’s visitation will be held Monday, December 21st 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 22nd, 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. Interment, Holy Sepuchre Cemetery.     I love and miss you dad. Thank you for all you did. Always there if any of us kids needed anything. We thank you for being a awesome father.I’m proud to have called you my dad

    To my grumpy old brother in law,and friend,I miss you already but we all have the memories to share with each other.My kids and grandkids had such respect for you .Every time I think of you a tear comes to my eyes . God Bless you for all the good things you did for everyone ,all the times you made people laugh,I will never forget you.
