Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Greece: Thursday July 16, 2015 at age 85. Predeceased by her brothers; sisters; granddaughter, Keirin Elizabeth; daughter-in-law, Carole. Survived by her loving husband Alfred E. Crocetta; children, Alfred E. Crocetta, Michael (Todd Waite) Crocetta, Angela Crocetta, Pamela Casserino, Cinthia (Randy) Bray, David Crocetta, Daniel Crocetta and Tina (Tony) Guadagno; grandchildren, Alfred (Nicole), Dawn (Brian), Nick (Tara), Anthony, Michael (Evie), Cheyenneh (Juan), Kayla, Joseph, Nicholas, Coty, Mackenzie, Olivia Rose; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Mager; sisters-in-law, Peggy VaNoscrand and Josephine Cringoli; many loving family and dear friends. How can we describe our mother in such a small space, but we shall try. At 17, Betty’s independent adventurous spirt took her from the small quaint town of Albion, NY to a boarding house for women in Rochester where she went to work at Kodak. A few years later she met and married the love of her life ‘Lefty’ and together over their 62 years of marriage raised 8 children. Between raising a family, being a loving wife and working full time, Betty still managed to find time to enjoy many things such as writing poetry, reupholstering furniture, crocheting, knitting, computers; all this while keeping 8 kids amused, well fed and loved! A love that continued with the addition of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The things we will miss most about our mother is her sense of humor, her infectious smile, her advice, her love of her cats which she named after her family members! And so much more. She had a strong and lifelong faith in God and relied on it to help raise 8 Children. She will be greatly missed. Betty’s visitation will be held Tuesday, July 21st 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Rd. Greece Chapel. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 22nd, 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 W. Ridge Road. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
