Aunt Ruth, I feel like the wind has been taken out of my sails. Sam and I are less than 2 months apart in age. The older I get the more I reflect on my life and family and how important they are. You have lost the ‘rock’ of your family and nothing I can say will make that any easier for you. Just know he is in a better place now. Setting with the all the other angels of our family who have gone before us. All my love, Bill Jr.

Dear JoAnn and Betty and Family, Please accept our condolences and deepest sympathy to your beautiful family during this very difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. Sam was an outstanding family man, a wonderful role model and an inspiration to all. He was my good friend, we talked almost daily. He is one of the reasons why I stayed in the BOXING club for so long, he inspired and always encouraged me to keep the GREAT sport of Boxing alive in Rochester. We will always remember his warm smile and friendly greeting. His legacy is his devotion and love to his family and the dedication he had to the sport of BOXING all these years. May memories of happy times together live forever in your hearts and may ‘Our Good Lord’ grant Sam eternal peace and may His perpetual light shine upon him. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Take solace in knowing that Sam, who had a big heart and loved to help everybody, is now in Heaven, with his Dad….Lefty Thomas and lots of family and friends. He is now looking down from Heaven and will help us with all our struggles. The promise of eternal life gives us hope that we will one day be reunited with those we love but see no longer. Sam will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Preserve all your wonderful memories of Sam and I am sure there are many. May memories of happy times together live forever in your hearts. RIP Sam, we love you and your family…..You were a role model, a devoted husband and father and son…I will miss you Pal…..Always ‘KEEP PUNCHING’ in Heaven. ..With Deepest Sympathy, Tony Liccione
