Angelo J. Cometa

Pembroke Pines, Florida: Thursday, May 10, 2012, at age 90. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Jennie Cometa; wife, Teresa (Profetta), brother-in-law, Lee Campoli. He is survived by his sister; Rose Campoli; brother, Thomas (Gail) Cometa; Uncle, Charles Cometa; sister-in-law, Marie Profetta; special niece, Linda Huddle; many nieces, nephews and friends in Florida and Rochester. Angelo was born and raised in Rochester and lived in Florida for almost 40 years. He was a veteran of WWII with the Air Force stationed in North Africa. He was retired from the Rochester Fire Dept, the Holly wood Fire Dept. (Fl.) and worked many years at the David Park Tennis Club in Hollywood. Angelo was a kind and outgoing person, a great dancer and a wonderful brother. A dear friend to many, he will be deeply missed. No prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 2nd 11AM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Greece Chapel. Inurnment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Angelo’s memory to Veteran’s Outreach Center.
