Jim and Family, So sorry for your loss. Work prevents me from attending the srrvice on Friday, but I just wanted you to know that your mom was always special to me. I never knew that your mother and my mother, who was a nurse at St. Marys, had a plan for me when I used to fake an illness at school. You mom would tell me to lie down, and 15 minutes later she would tell me that if I wasn’t feeling any better, she would call my father at work to come get me. Another miraculous cure by ‘ Mrs. Nier’!! To this day I wonder how many parents phone numbers she had for all those years. But when I was really sick, she could tell right away, and would always call my mother, at home or at work. She is still thought of, and spoken of with great regard and warmth, in our circle of old friends to this day. Again, my deepest sympathy. Dan

To: The Nier Family, My deepest sympathy goes out to you for your loss. When I think of Mary Jane I think of a wonderful mother, caring and giving, with a great sense of humor. I also think about her high admiration for change, her hospitality and her laugh. She had a great laugh. She also had a great style. God Bless you Mary Jane.
