Rochester: Entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2011 at age 42. Marlene is survived by her loving husband, Derrick Levine; daughter, Tamisha Moore; parents, Leroy (Margaret) Cooper; sister, Marquette (Daryl) Cooper; mother and father-in-law, Alfred (Norma Jean) Levine; many friends. Her Memorial Service will be held, Tuesday June 28th, 11 A.M. at East Henrietta Road Church of Christ, 285 East Henrietta Road.
Derrick- so sorry for your loss. I remember how eager Marlene was to go home from the Jewish Home. You always were so helpful and everyday you put a smile on her face! I heard of her passing through a coworker. May she be at peace now and you at peace with her gracious spirit. Thinking and praying for you! Love, Katie

Derrick, I know how much you are hurting right now, and I am truly sorry that you have to endure that pain, but know that Marlene is now pain free and resting (or hollering about something up there!). She helped me last year when I was in pain, and I wish I could have done something to make her well. I could always vent with her, she was a great listener, and she adored you. You were there at the hospital all the time taking care of her, making her laugh – you always took such good care of her, and she loved you so much. I have had so many good times, trips and laughs with her – and she always had my back! I am truly missing her – and loved her. Please know that she loved you more than anything- and that she still does. Love, Rose

Derrick, my heart aches for you and Marlene’s family! She was such a sweet and genuine person. I will miss seeing her during the holidays and knowing that I can call her if I need to vent. She embraced me as part of her family and I could always count on a call from her to let me know you guys were home and where the cookout was going to be! Just know that Marlene is among the angels where there is no more illness or doctor’s visits. We loved her so and are truly going to miss her. God’s blessings on you, her parents and siblings!

I am really saddened by this loss. Marlene was a real asset to our family and will be missed. She had a sunny disposition and a positive mind frame. I Love You Marlene but, God loves you best!!!!

It was a joy working with Marlene, she was an excellent teacher and she taught me a lot the last 3 years that I have worked with her. It was wonderful just to sit and listen to her stories about her family she always made me laugh she will always be remembered and loved.

wow it just seemed like yesterday we were all gathered outside of uncle willie and aunt dee’s backyard eating hamburgers! auntie marlene is truely going to be missed and uncle derrikk, know that we love you and auntie marlene is in a better place.
Your bright smile and friendly disposition will be missed; you will leave a void that cannot be filled. Memories of you with my girls braiding hair, laughing and talking or just offering them comfort. You would sit up half of the night on the side of the bed, because someone just didn’t want to go to sleep. So sad to see you go but happy that you are at rest. Marlene, you are always in are memory.
Your contagious laughter and smile will be missed by all. You brought a spirit and camaraderie that brought the Medicine Billing Department to the success that we achieved. I truly enjoyed working with you, especially at the conference we attended at Turning Stone’¦ when you told one gentlemen ‘don’t bother me, I am Aretha Franklin’. Your spontaneity was always incredible. Marlene, you made me smile every day. I will truly miss you’¦
