Carole and Glenn worked together at Monroe Litho and Case Hoyt…she kind of adopted him and then us. She would come out to the house for dessert and bring something for the kids…her kindness surprised and touched us. She was a loving friend. God bless your family at this time. Our prayers are with you all. Glenn and Sandy

Cousin Bruce, Tara, Scott & Family — I am so sorry to hear this bad news and I offer my deepest condolences. I will forever have the best memories of Carole while at the Smith Family picnics at the cottage, the Christmas parties and clam bakes, among others. Her letters to me while in basic training and stationed overseas were so thoughtful and loving. She was such a nice, sweet, caring person and she will be greatly missed.

I am a childhood friend of Carole Ann’s–she would always come visit when she visited her Mom. She was a wonderful person and though we have never met Bruce, may you find some comfort in knowing so many share your loss.. Please give my sympathy to Mrs. Rice… I am so sorry.
I was so sorry to hear about Carol. I send my most sincere sympathy to her family. I graduated with Carol from Athen High School. Its times like these that make us remember the fun days we spent together as teen-agers, football games and dances in the gym. Again I am so sorry and know that only time will help. I am 62 myself and realize Carol was too young to leave this world. Our faith tells us that she is in a better place but that doesn’t help the ache in our hearts. Peach be with you and your dear ones. Sincerely, Linda Depue McKernan
I’m so sorry to hear about Carole…I enjoyed visiting with her in my wonderful friend Nancy Hendershot’s classroom. The students and faculty at Fairbanks Road Elementary will long remember her warmth and kindess.
