Greece: Sunday, April 5, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Ellen (Bunny); daughter, Sue Ellen (Greg) Burkett; son, John W. (Molly); grandson, Thomas; sisters, Barbara Winter, Nora Richards; sisters-in-law, Dorothy VanVoorhis (H. Roger), Delores Long Parker, Janet Springer; nieces and nephews. Frederick graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School then attended the University of Rochester and St. John Fisher. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company after 31 years and a U.S. Army veteran. Frederick was a Licensed Workers’ Compensation Representative at Segar & Sciortino for over 16 years. Friends may call Monday 4-7 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday 9:30 AM at Holy Cross Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Rochester in his memory.

    Just got the notice of Uncle Fred’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you Aunt Bunny in saying farewell to your beloved husband and friend.
